Manitoba Increases Minimum Wages for Construction Workers

Hourly minimum wages for construction workers in Manitoba will increase Sept. 1, 2025, and again on May 1 in 2026 and 2027, the Canadian province’s government said June 30.

The amendments to the Construction Industry Minimum Wage Regulation also make some changes to the categories of employees mentioned in the regulations. A “skilled tradesperson” must have worked for 3,600 hours in one of the trades, listed in Part 2 of the regulation’s Schedule A, for which a skilled tradeperson minimum wage applies.
