Maryland County Large-Employer Minimum Wage Rising on July 1

The hourly minimum wage for large employers in Montgomery County, Maryland, is to rise to $15.65 from $15 effective July 1, according to a March 9 news release issued by the county’s Office of Public Information.

The county defines large employer as an employer with at least 51 employees, under Montgomery County Code Section 27 Article XI.

This is the first year that the county has adjusted the large-employer minimum wage rate, based on changes to the consumer price index.
