Maryland Releases 2024 County Tax Rates, Withholding Guide

Three Maryland counties changed their income tax rates for tax year 2024, the state comptroller’s office said Jan. 5, while state withholding methods were unchanged except for an increased standard deduction.

Of the counties with flat tax rates, only Cecil County’s rate changed, to 2.75% from 2.8%, the office said on its website. Anne Arundel County and Frederick County both use graduated tax rates.
