Four Maryland counties adjusted their local tax rates for 2025, the state comptroller’s office said Dec. 18.
Among counties with flat tax rates, Cecil County’s rate decreased from 2.75% to 2.74%, while Calvert and St. Mary’s Counties saw their rates increase from 3% to 3.20%, the office said. Anne Arundel County and Frederick County both use graduated tax rates.

In 2025, Anne Arundel County’s tax rates are 2.7%, 2.94%, and 3.2%, but the tax brackets used depend on an individual’s filing status.
