Massachusetts Covid-19 Nexus Rules to End in September

Massachusetts’s rules governing the treatment of remote workers are to expire in September, the state revenue department said on its website.

The rule (No. 830 CMR 62.5A.3), which applied starting March 10, 2020, is to expire Sept. 13, the department said in a list of frequently asked questions and answers.

The end date specified by the department is the first weekday after the rule’s expiration date, which is 90 days after Massachusetts’s state of emergency ends. The state of emergency ended June 15.
