Massachusetts unemployment tax rates for 2022 are determined with the same schedule used for 2021, the state Department of Unemployment Assistance said Jan. 11.
Effective Jan. 1, unemployment tax rates for experienced employers are determined with Schedule E, the department said on its website. Rates under Schedule E range from 0.94% to 5.24% for positive-rated employers and from 7.03% to 14.37% for negative-rated employers.
Experienced employers also are assessed a Covid-19 recovery assessment for 2022. Assessment rates range from 0.118% to 1.796%.
