Massachusetts is to have employers include paid family leave contribution amounts on Forms W-2, officials from the state’s Department of Family and Medical Leave and the state revenue department said Sept. 12.
Paid-leave contributions are to be reported in box 14 of Form W-2 using the code “MA PFML,” and covered contract workers that receive Forms 1099-MISC are to have contributions reported in box 16 of Form 1099-MISC using the same code, the officials said during a webinar.
