Mexico Increases Minimum Wages for 2025

Mexico’s daily minimum wages will increase Jan. 1, the country’s minimum wage council said.

The general daily minimum wage increased to 278.80 Mexican pesos (US$13.86), up from 248.93 Mexican pesos, the National Commission on Minimum Wages said in a news release (Spanish). In the Northern Border Free Zone, the daily minimum wage increased to 419.88 Mexican pesos, up from 374.89 Mexican pesos, the commission said.

The commission also publishes a list of profession-specific minimum wages (Spanish) that are higher than the general daily minimum wage. In 2025, they range from 280.40 Mexican pesos for poultry farm managers to 624.30 Mexican ...
