Michigan’s unemployment-taxable wage base in 2025 will decrease to $9,000 from $9,500 for employers that are not delinquent, the Labor and Economic Opportunity Department said in a Dec. 11 press release.
The unemployment-taxable wage base decreased because the state unemployment insurance trust fund had a balance of at least $2.5 billion on June 30 and the next calendar quarter, according to the press release.
