Minnesota Announces 2025 Unemployment Insurance Taxes, Wage Base

Minnesota released its 2025 unemployment insurance tax rates and wage base on the Employment and Economic Development Department website.

Total tax rates for experienced employers in 2025 will range from 0.4% to 9.3%, including a 0.4% base tax rate, according to the website.

Tax rates for new employers vary by industry and range from 1.4% to 9.3%, including the 0.4% base tax rate, according to the website. Minnesota has 51 separate new employer rates.
