Minnesota’s initial family-leave insurance premium rate will be 0.88% when the program goes into effect on Jan. 1, 2026, according to a Feb. 21 press release from the Department of Employment and Economic Development.
The department also released an online paid leave calculator to help employers estimate their premium costs for 2026, according to the press release.
The 0.88% rate consists of a 0.61% medical leave premium and a 0.27% family leave premium, according to the department’s calculator webpage.
