Minnesota’s hourly minimum wage will rise to $10.85 from $10.59 for large employers and to $8.85 from $8.63 for small employers effective Jan. 1, 2024, the state labor and industry department announced on Aug. 23.
The announcement confirms Bloomberg Tax’s Aug. 8 projections.
The state’s training wage and youth wage rates will also rise to $8.85. The training wage may be paid to employees younger than 20 for their first 90 days of employment, and the youth wage may be paid to employees under age 18.
