Minnesota announced its 2024 unemployment insurance tax rates and unemployment-taxable wage base on the Employment and Economic Development website.
The total tax rates for experienced employers will range from 0.1% to 9% and include a base tax rate of 0.1%. This is the same rate range in effect for 2023.
Minnesota’s tax rates for new employers will range from 1.1% to 9%, including the 0.1% base tax rate. The rates vary by industry, as determined by North American Industry Classification System codes. Minnesota has 51 separate new employer rates.
