Mississippi’s 2021 withholding formula was released Jan. 8 by the state revenue department.
Compared to 2020, the amount of annual tax-free income provided in the formula increased to $4,000, from $3,000.
The other tax thresholds and tax rates remained unchanged, and the annual standard deductions remained $2,300 for single individuals, $3,400 for heads of households, and $4,600 for married couples.
