Mississippi’s flat tax rate decreased for 2025 under state law, while its withholding formula is unchanged from 2024.
The 2025 withholding formula uses a tax rate of 4.4%, down from 4.7% in 2024, and its standard deductions were unchanged.
Under state law, the tax rate is scheduled to drop to 4% in 2026. Before then, the state legislature must consider further reductions for years after 2026.
