Missouri Releases 2019 Unemployment Tax Rates, Wage Base

Effective Jan. 1, 2019, Missouri’s unemployment-taxable wage base is to be $12,000, down from $12,500 for 2018, the state Department of Labor said Oct. 29 on its website.

Unemployment tax rates for experienced employers for 2019 are to range from zero to 5.4 percent, a spokesman for the department told Bloomberg Tax.

The 2019 standard unemployment tax rate for new employers, including those in the mining industry and the construction industry, is to be 2.376 percent, down from 2.511 percent for 2018.
