Tax rates were unchanged in Missouri’s 2026 withholding methods, which were released Nov. 21 by the state revenue department.
Tax rates in the withholding methods continue to range from zero to 4.7%, but the tax brackets in the percentage method were adjusted. Standard deductions increased to $32,200 for married employees with a nonworking spouse, $24,150 for heads of households, and $16,100 for other statuses, up from $30,000, $22,500, or $15,000, the department said.
The interest rate for tax underpayments is 7% for 2026, down from 8% for 2025, the department said.
