Montana Minimum Wage Increases to $10.30 on Jan. 1, 2024

Montana’s hourly minimum wage will rise to $10.30 from $9.95 effective Jan. 1, 2024, according to the state labor and industry department’s website.

The announcement confirms Bloomberg Tax’s Sept. 14 calculations.

The state updated its minimum wage poster to reflect the increase. The poster is available in English and Spanish.

The state minimum wage applies to businesses with annual gross sales of more than $110,000, under state law. Businesses with annual gross sales of $110,000 or less may pay a $4 hourly minimum wage to employees unless they are required to pay at least the federal minimum ...
