Montana released its unemployment insurance information for 2025 on the state’s unemployment insurance division website.
Montana will continue using Contribution Rate Schedule 1 for 2025, which has tax rates ranging from zero to 1.42% for positive-rated employers, and 2.92% to 6.12% for negative-rated employers.
Delinquent employers will pay a penalty rate that is equal to 50% more than their current rate, according to the division.
