More Republican Lawmakers Jump on Paid Leave Bandwagon

Sen. Marco Rubio‘s proposal for a national paid leave program is gaining support the second time around.

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah) and Reps. Dan Crenshaw (R-Texas) and Ann Wagner (R-Mo.) are co-sponsoring the New Parents Act, providing votes of confidence the proposal didn’t have when it was first introduced in August as the Economic Security for New Parents Act. Wagner had planned to introduce her own version of the previous bill but didn’t.
