Morocco increased its hourly minimum wage for non-agricultural employees Jan. 1, while an increase to the daily minimum wage for agricultural employees takes effect April 1, its government said in a decree Jan. 3.
The non-agricultural hourly minimum wage increased to 17.10 Moroccan dirhams (US$1.70) up from 16.29 Moroccan dirhams in effect since Sept. 1, 2023, the decree (Arabic) said.
The agricultural daily minimum wage will increase to 93 Moroccan dirhams, up from 88.58 Moroccan dirhams, the decree said.
