Mountain View, Calif., to Raise 2021 Minimum Wage by 25 Cents

Mountain View, Calif., is to increase its hourly minimum wage by 25 cents Jan. 1.

The 2021 wage is to rise to $16.30 from $16.05, the city said on its website. Tip credits cannot be applied toward minimum wage.

The new wage, which applies to employees who work at least two hours a week, is adjusted each year for inflation.

Mountain View’s minimum wage, which covers adults and minors, applies to employers who maintain a facility in the city and employers who are subject to the city business license tax. The was was set by an ordinance in 2016. ...
