Myanmar’s daily minimum wage increased for the first time in over five years effective Oct. 1, an Oct. 5 notice from the country’s labor ministry said.
The daily minimum wage increased to 5,800 kyat (US$2.76), up from 4,800 kyat, the notice (Myanmar) said.
The previous minimum wage increase took effect May 14, 2018.
