Nebraska’s withholding methods were updated effective Jan. 1, 2024, the state revenue department said Nov. 28.
All tax bracket thresholds were adjusted in the 2024 Circular EN‘s percentage method. The top three tax rates were also decreased to 5.77%, 5.94%, and 6.1%, from 6.2%, 6.39%, and 6.75%.
The value of a state allowance increased to $2,250 annually, from $2,140.
