Netherlands Introduces 2019 Income Tax Rate Changes

The Netherlands plans to implement slight changes to its personal income tax rates in 2019, and to decrease its number of income tax brackets in 2021, the country’s government said Sept. 18.

For 2019, the lowest income tax rate is to increase to 9 percent from 8.9 percent, but the three higher income tax rates are to decrease to 10.45 percent, 38.1 percent, and 51.75 percent from 13.2 percent, 40.85 percent, and 51.95 percent, the government said in its 2019 tax plan (Dutch).
