Nevada Announces Unemployment-Taxable Wage Base Increase for 2024

Nevada’s unemployment-taxable wage base will rise to $40,600 from $40,100 effective Jan. 1, 2024, according to a July 28 update on the state unemployment insurance website.

Nevada bases the wage base amount on the average annual wage paid to Nevada workers, according to the update. Specifically, the amount is roughly two-thirds of the state’s average annual wage.
