Nevada’s range of unemployment tax rates for 2020 is to be unchanged from 2019, the state Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation said Dec. 9.

Effective, Jan. 1, 2020, unemployment tax rates for experienced employers are to range from 0.3% to 5.4%, a department spokesman told Bloomberg Tax in an email. The tax rate for new employers is to be 3%.

The tax rates, except the maximum experienced-employer rate of 5.4%, include a career enhancement program tax of 0.05%.

Nevada’s unemployment taxable wage base is to be $32,500 in 2020.
