New Brunswick’s hourly minimum wage will increase April 1, the Canadian province’s government said Jan. 29.
The standard hourly minimum wage will increase to C$15.30 (US$11.43), up from C$14.75, the government said in a news release.
Under New Brunswick’s Employment Standards Act, the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training, and Labour must review every two years “the amount of the minimum wage, the manner in which minimum wage is determined, and the timeline for any changes to it,” and a review is planned for this year, the government said.
