New Hampshire’s unemployment tax rates for the second quarter of 2023 will decrease by 0.5% compared to the rates for the first quarter, according to a March 31 update on the state Employment Security Department website.
The tax rates will range from 0.1% to 1.7% for positive-rated employers, with a solvency-threshold tax rate reduction of 1%. Tax rates for negative-rated experienced employers range from 3.3% to 7.5%, including a 0.5% surcharge.
The tax rate for new employers will be 1.7%.
