New Hampshire Minimum-Wage Bill Passes House, Moves to Senate

New Hampshire’s hourly minimum wage would rise to $15 from $7.25 by 2025 under a bill that passed the state House on Jan. 9, 2020.

The measure (H.B. 731-FN) advanced to the Senate for consideration.

If signed into law by Gov. Chris Sununu (R), the hourly minimum wage would rise to $8.50 and take effect with his signature. Higher minimum wages would follow: $10.60 on Jan. 1, 2021; $11.70 on Jan. 1, 2022; $12.80 on Jan. 1, 2023; $13.90 on Jan. 1, 2024; and $15 on Jan. 1, 2025.
