Unemployment tax rates for the second quarter of 2024 will remain the same as the rates for the first quarter, according to a March 29 updatefrom New Hampshire Employment Security.
The tax rates will range from 0.1% to 1.7% for positive-rated employers, with a solvency threshold tax reduction rate of 1%. Tax rates for negative-rated employers range from 3.3% to 7.5%, including a 0.5% surcharge.
The tax rate for new employers is 1.7%.
No emergency power surcharge is in effect for the second quarter of 2024, according to NHES.
The unemployment-taxable wage base for 2024 is $14,000.
