Unemployment tax rates for the second quarter of 2025 will remain the same as the rates for the first quarter, according to an update from New Hampshire Employment Security.
Tax rates range from 0.1% to 1.7% for positive-rated employers, with a solvency threshold tax reduction rate of 1%, according to the agency’s tax rate chart and New Hampshire’s tax rate schedules. Tax rates for negative-rated employers range from 3.3% to 7.5%, including a 0.5% surcharge.
New Hampshire is the only state to determine its unemployment insurance tax rates on a quarterly basis.
