New Jersey’s hourly minimum wage for employers with at least six employees will rise to $15.49 from $15.13 effective Jan. 1, 2025, according to an Oct. 8 press release from the Department of Labor and Workforce Development.
The minimum wage for seasonal employees and employers with fewer than six employees will rise to $14.53 from $13.73, according to the press release.
The minimum hourly cash wage for tipped employees will rise to $5.62 from $5.26, but the maximum tip credit will remain $9.87, the department said.
