The city of Albuquerque, New Mexico, will increase its hourly minimum wage to $12.50 from $11.50 effective Jan. 1, 2023, the city announced in an Oct. 19 update on the city’s minimum wage website.
Albuquerque has one minimum wage rate for employees who receive at least $2,500 annually in health-care or child-care benefits from their employer and another for employees who do not receive such benefits, under the city’s minimum wage code. The hourly minimum wage for both types of employees will be $12.50 in 2023.
