The hourly minimum wage in Albuquerque, New Mexico, will rise to $12 effective Jan. 1, 2023, according to a Nov. 7 update on the city’s website.
Albuquerque has one minimum wage rate for employees who receive at least $2,500 annually in health-care or child-care benefits from their employer and another for employees who do not receive such benefits, under the city’s minimum wage code. The hourly minimum wage for both types of employees will be $12 in 2023.
The city’s hourly minimum wage for tipped employees will increase to $7.20 from $6.90 in 2023.
