New Mexico’s unemployment tax rates are not to change for 2021, the state Department of Workforce Solutions said Jan. 4.
Effective Jan. 1, 2021, tax rates for experienced employers not assessed an excess claims premium range from 0.33% to 5.4%, the department said on its website. The maximum total tax rate for experienced employers assessed an excess claims premium is 6.4%.
The standard 2021 tax rate for new employers is 1%, unchanged from 2020.
