New South Wales decreased the levy rate for the first year of its portable long-service leave program for the community services industry under an order the Australian state published April 28.
The levy rate for the financial year from July 1, 2025, when the program started, to June 30, 2026, decreased to 1.3% from 1.7% through the Community Services Sector (Portable Long Service Leave) (Levy Determinations) Order 2026. The 1.7% rate was maintained starting July 1, 2026, for future financial years.
