New York’s unemployment insurance tax rates are unchanged for 2025, according to an update on the Labor Department website.
Tax rates for experienced employers range from 2.1% to 9.9%, and the rate for new employers is 4.1%, according to the website. All tax rates include a 0.075% reemployment-services fund contribution.
The unemployment-taxable wage base for 2025 is $12,800, up from $12,500 for 2024, according to a publication from the department.
