The New Zealand Government Dec. 12 announced an increase in the hourly minimum wage rates, from April 1, 2026. The announcement includes measures to increase the hourly minimum wage rates to: 1) NZ$23.95 (US$13.89) from NZ$23.50 (US$13.63) for adult workers; and 2) NZ$19.16 (US$11.11) from NZ$18.80 (US$10.90) for new workers and trainees.
