Canada’s province of Newfoundland and Labrador increased its hourly minimum wage effective April 1, the provincial government said Jan. 29.
The minimum wage will increase to C$15.60 (US$11.61) per hour, up from C$15.00, the province said in a news release. The minimum wage for overtime work will be C$23.40 per hour, up from C$22.50, the province said.
