North Carolina’s unemployment-taxable wage base is to be $25,200 for 2020, up from $24,300 in 2019, a spokesman for the state Department of Commerce said Nov. 22.
For 2020, unchanged from 2019, unemployment tax rates for experienced employers are to range from 0.06% to 5.76%, the spokesman told Bloomberg Tax in an email.
The tax rate for new employers is to be 1% in 2020, unchanged from 2019.
