North Carolina’s unemployment-taxable wage base for 2024 is $31,400, up from $29,600 in 2023, according to an update on the state’s quarterly wage and tax report adjustment form.
The monthly interest rate for overdue unemployment taxes is 0.67% effective Jan. 1 through June 30, up from 0.58% for calendar year 2023, according to Form NCUI 685, Adjustment to Employer’s Quarterly Tax and Wage Report.
The North Carolina Employment Security Division updated the form in January 2024.
