North Dakota Releases 2024 Withholding Methods

North Dakota’s 2024 withholding methods were released by the state tax commissioner’s office.

The state continues to use tax rates of zero, 1.95%, and 2.5%. The tax brackets used in the percentage method were adjusted.

The value of an allowance used with Forms W-4 from before 2020 remained $4,300 annually. Since an update in July 2023, the state’s supplemental tax rate has been 1.5%.
