A framework for a portable long-service leave program for the community services industry in Australia’s Northern Territory received assent June 11.
The Portable Long Service Leave (Community Services Sector) Act 2024 creates its namesake program, which allows covered employees to accrue entitlement to long-service leave while working for any employer in the industry and requires covered employers to pay a contribution based on payroll.
