Nova Scotia Plans 2 Minimum Wage Increases in 2025

Nova Scotia’s hourly minimum wage is planned to increase on both April 1 and Oct. 1, 2025, the Canadian province’s government said Jan. 29.

The hourly minimum wage will increase to C$15.70 (US$10.89) April 1 and C$16.50 Oct. 1, the government said in a news release, up from a current value of C$15.20.

By law, Nova Scotia’s minimum wage increases every April 1. The October adjustment is an additional increase meant to address the cost of living, the government said
