Novato, California, announced minimum wage rate increases for calendar year 2026 on its website.
The hourly minimum wage will rise to $17.73 from $17.27 for very large businesses, to $17.46 from $17 for large businesses, and to $16.90 from $16.50 for small businesses, according to the website. Small businesses have one to 25 employees, large businesses have 26 to 99 employees, and very large businesses have at least 100 employees.
Novato released a minimum wage notice for 2026. The notice, which must be posted where employees can easily read it, is available in English and Spanish.
