Ohio employers may provide certain labor law notices on the internet, under a bill that will go into effect 90 days after it is filed with the Ohio Secretary of State.
SB 33 allows labor law notices to be provided to employees online instead of being posted in conspicuous places in the workplace. Notices affected by the change include those related to child labor, minimum wage, overtime, prevailing wage, and workers’ compensation.
Employers that choose to provide notices on the internet must ensure that they are accessible by their employees, under the bill.
