Unemployment insurance tax rates in Ohio will range from 0.3% to 9.8% in 2023, according to a Nov. 14 update on the state job and family services website.
The tax rate for new employers in the construction industry will rise to 5.6%, up from 5.5% in 2022. The tax rate for all other new employers will remain 2.7% in 2023.
The tax rate for delinquent experienced employers will rise to 12.9%, compared to 12.8% in 2022.
Ohio’s taxable wage base will be $9,000 in 2023, unchanged from 2022.
