The hourly minimum wage in Ohio will increase to $11 from $10.70 effective Jan. 1, 2026, according to a Sept. 29 Department of Commerce news release.
The minimum wage for tipped employees will rise to $5.50 from $5.35, according to the news release.
Ohio’s minimum wage applies to businesses with a certain amount of annual gross receipts. For 2026, the $11 rate will apply to businesses with annual gross receipts of at least $405,000, up from $394,000 for 2025, according to the news release.
