Ohio Exempts Certain Employee Travel Time and Tasks from Overtime

Ohio employers are to be exempt under state law from the requirement to pay employees overtime wages for time spent traveling to and from a worksite or performing certain overtime activities, under a bill (S.B. 47) Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine (R) signed April 6 that becomes effective July 6.

Employee travel time to and from a worksite is exempt from state overtime-wage requirements, the bill states.
